What will I be doing?
Virtual Personal Assistant is a home-based part-time job (combination of internet work and also where you live).
- You will be serving customers by internet, at your home, dealing with information, doing work on internet and working on the phone in your assigned area.
- You must have internet access, a phone, and be available to do some work during the daytime.
- Look for things and services, fulfill various requests for clients through the internet and calling shops in your neighborhood. Shopping, purchases, and assist with business and personal gifts (providing thoughtful ideas, locating and purchasing, wrapping and delivering as needed)
- Develop and maintain friendly relationships with shop owners
- Take care of our customers and fill all requests they make if come near you.
How much and when am I paid?
- $24,000 Annual salary ($2,000 every month) - You might also receive personal tips from our clients if they think your service was great.
- 10% rise every six months
- Five-day work week, you don’t work on Sundays
- Medical, dental, disability, and life insurance with kids option after 60 days
- 401(k) with company match
Is this position available in my state/city?
Yes. Much of the work can be done over the phone/internet. However, you might have to do some of it where you live. So be ready and willing to fulfill those types of desires too.

What's my schedule? How much time a day would I be spending?
- Personal Assistant / shopper is a part-time job. Your working schedule looks like as follows:
- Works at home (2-3 hours a day), flexible schedule.
- Ask about things/services from your neighbor shop owners.
Where is this job?
Much of the work is done in your room, on the phone/internet, by making out-calls and meeting clients in your neighborhood. You do not need to travel far. There are open positions where you live.
What are primary communication means?

Am I responsible for paying taxes?
When you fill out the W-4, make sure you are withholding enough money. Federal taxes should account for at least ten percent of your income. Specific rules differ for each state, but you can find complete federal information by visiting http://www.irs.gov/.
Do I need to fill out any paperwork before I start?
You were sent our employment confirmation and employment contract. You must obtain a written consent to start an employment with us. You will start with a two week test period as a subcontracting assistant. You will be paid $1,000 following the two week period. Once you complete your trial period and our HR Manager provides positive feedback we will offer you a longer term 1 year contract. You will need to sign it.
What education and experience is required to apply?
- High School, College or University Diploma
- Previous Experience as a Personal Assistant, Customer Care Rep., RND, PA / EA is much well appreciated but not necessary.
Is there any interview required?
Since there are a large number of applicants, we do not have the possibility to meet anyone in person. It is also unjustified from the economic point of view taking in consideration that it is distance work. The primary communication means are the Internet and/or telephone. However, we will make certainly an interview during the test period or after you have succeeded it. You will meet an agent in your state or visit our corporate office to sign a longer term contract.
How does this "test period" work?
- There is a two week test / probation period with the same salary level (You are paid $1,000 after you complete the two weeks).
- You will be assigned to a supervisor to boost your performance. This period is required for you to understand that this is the type job you want and also help our supervisor determine if you fit into all specifications to continue part time employment as a personal assistant / shopper at I am Home, Inc. HR Support's Virtual Assistant Service
- To avoid problems, you will receive all work orders from your supervisor only by email during the two week test period. All tasks are from our customers only or for our company internal needs (such as local infra-structural research).
- Only after you successfully complete you will be suggested to sign a longer term contract, allowed to see our online client area and issued a corporate card to cover customer expenses if required.
When does my trial period start?
Your trial period starts right after you receive your employment confirmation by email and your 1st task.
If I need to order certain service(s) or pay for something on behalf of the customer - how does it work? I mean, do I have to pay out of my pocket in advance?
No, You do not have to pay for anything in advance.
- Every spending during your probation period (list of items, travelling expenses, shipping, additional expenses, total cost etc) must be confirmed with our customer first. Once confirmed, the required amount is transferred to your credit card or bank account number you give us so you can take care of everything.
- Only after you successfully complete your probation period, we will give you a company card to cover all required expenses. Make sure to provide all receipts before 25th every month.
How do I send my application form?

How do I start my first day?
After you sign up online, you will get access to our user area. Every day, when you start working on any task, you have to log in. So your start time is recorded. You will also have to sign out once you finish working on your tasks.
Do I need to report for work every day?
Yes, you have to log into the user area every day. If you have no job, send an email and ask for more assignments. If you plan on leaving anywhere you must inform at least one day in advance.
Can I work as VIP Assistant and somewhere else at the same time?
As advertised, this is a part time position with 2-3 hours a day max and flexible schedule. Many people work with us a combine this activity with other part time or fulltime job. We offer stable and fixed additional income. Many assistants successfully combine our part time position with other activities.
It is also 80% work from home, and I am sure it won’t be a problem for you to dedicate couple hours a week to work on a local task, if any. This is another reason for a trial period, so you can see if this is a type of position you’ve been looking for.
Although your schedule is flexible, you have to be available on the phone just in case, and check email few times a day.
How many assignments a day will I be betting?
There is no defined flow of tasks during your trial period. You will be given one by one, not more than two tasks at the same time, to make sure you are not overloaded. Because most tasks are from our clients, it is impossible to tell you in advance what tasks you will be getting (for 5 minutes of for 2 days).
How do I send my reports?
- You must have Microsoft Word installed and provide your reports in DOC/DOCX formats. Other formats are not acceptable.
- You must return all reports in attachments. Do not send your reports in your email body.
How does my working day look like?
- You may start your day any time you like and keep your schedule as flexible as you like as long as you have your report deadline in mind.
- You must always be available on the phone if your manager needs to reach you. Make sure you give your real phone number in your application form.
How do I know my task is completed?
You will receive an email with notification (from 30 minutes to several hours depending on how your HR manager is busy).
What to do if I have no tasks one day?
It is OK if you have tasks one day, you will have more things to do next days. Your work day in average is 2-3 hours.
